National Pro Wrestling Day is an action-packed event offered to the public free of charge on February 6th, 2016 at The Goodwill Beneficial Association in Reading, PA. The men and women of National Pro Wrestling Day believe in the positive power of pro-wrestling, and we’re asking for your help in proving it to the world.
For our 2016 fundraising efforts, we have chosen the Polaris Project, and together, with the support of wrestling fans worldwide, we can make a real difference. Renowned for their standout transparency, accountability, and their outstanding ranking on Charity Navigator, we know that the money you donate goes where it is supposed to go - and not to line some corporate fat-cat's wallet.
The Polaris Project combats human trafficking, which sadly, impacts more than 20 million victims worldwide, every single day. Team with us, and the Polaris Project, as we seek to raise $2,400 to provide shelter and food for survivors of human trafficking.
To combat this crime, Polaris offers local, national, and global programs, serving both labor and sex trafficking victims, using a survivor-centered approach. Polaris “changes the equation” for traffickers and victims - a high-profit, low-risk crime becomes high-risk, low-profit and those who are enslaved are freed from exploitation. Widely recognized as one of the most experienced, multi-dimensional, and knowledgeable entities in the anti-trafficking field, Polaris is working to ensure human trafficking networks are permanently disrupted while hope and justice are restored.
You can make a cash donation the day of the event, or you can make an online donation at any time through February 6nd, 2016 directly through the Polaris Project donation page for NPWD 2016 which is live right now. Either way, 100% of the donated funds will go directly to those in need.
We know not everyone can afford to give. That’s why we’re making the entire event free to the public. Donations are entirely optional. You don’t have to spend a dollar to enjoy the action on National Pro Wrestling Day. But if you can help, please do.
