Mickie James releasing Grown Ass Woman with Chapel Hart

Mickie James is returning to her country music career with a big collaboration for the release of her latest song, Grown Ass Woman.

The six-time WWE Women’s Champion has announced a partnership with CMT’s Next Women of Country, Chapel Hart.

James made a cameo in the trio’s video “You Can Have Him Jolene”, but this is their first time singing together.

Just in time for summer, this empowering anthem unites women, everywhere, to stand up & stand strong! With an official release date of May 28th, the song can now be reserved on iTunes, Spotify, SoundCloud or wherever you listen to music.

GAW is the latest outside-the-ring project for Mickie James, who launched GAWtv with friends Lisa Marie Varon and Valerie Wyndham at the height of the pandemic. Ok

For James, the development of GAW reached new heights when she paired up with powerhouse act Chapel Hart.

“It takes courage to live your life as a grown-ass woman, and I love that I’ve been able to share my own personal GAW journey with fans over the years,“ James said. “The single GAW couldn’t come at a better time and partnering with Chapel Hart really elevated the song to make it a banger of a track.“

James further talked about the partnership with Hart. “While I had the original concept and had written the chorus with my partners Sean Gasaway and Brandon Green, when I met Chapel Hart, I was so inspired to revisit the track with them and truly capture the heart and soul of every woman - it’s an opportunity you don’t turn down!,” she said.

Based out of New-Orleans, family is at the heart of country trio Chapel Hart. Consisting of Grammy-nominated Danica Hart, her cousin Trea and sister Devynn, the ladies of Chapel Heart have been singing together since they were toddlers in Poplarville, Mississippi.

In addition to “You Can Have Him Jolene,” the trio is known for singles “Jesus & Alcohol,” and “I Will Follow,” as well as their 2019 independently-released album Out the Mud. Chapel Hart was inducted into the CMT Next Women of Country Class of 2021.

Chapel Hart has been touring, following local regulations, since the start of April and has been enjoying being back on the road.

“There is nothing like performing in front of live audiences and we are excited to get back on stage to bring the one-of-a-kind Chapel Hart concert experience to current and new fans across the country,” said band member Danica Hart. “This tour is the icing on the cake of a whirlwind few years, years in which one of our biggest blessings has been to cross paths with Mickie James and collaborate on several projects. And you never know, she just may show up at select stops to perform GAW live,” says Danica Hart.

GAW is now available to stream and purchase wherever you listen to music. For Chapel Hart tickets please visit www.ChapelHart.com. Follow Mickie James on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Stay up to date with Chapel Hart news on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
