It was a HER-storic night in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia this past Friday, as Mickie James' 2nd all-women pay-per-view, "HER", gave fans downunder an event that will be remembered for years to come.
"Hardcore Country" Mickie James opened the show to welcome fans to the follow up to Mickie's ground breaking event -- "EMPOWERRR" & to face off with her friend of 20+ years, WWE legend FKA Alicia Fox, now known as Vix Crow.
Vix & Mickie shared their mutual admiration for one-another before bringing the Ballarat crowd to their feet with their first singles match against each other since 2009 & Vix's first match since 2019. The two legends battled back & forth, delivering in the much anticipated clash before Vix took a page from Mickie's playbook, reversing a Mick-DT with a kiss & pinning the 11-time World champion following the debut of her new finisher, a modified angel wing face-buster.
The main event saw TNA World Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace retain her title in a power-vs-power matchup with Australian up and coming star -- Delta. The two women battled all over Selkirk Stadium, trading high-impact maneuvers, before Grace put Delta away with her patented Grace Driver for the win.
Also on the show, the first ever OPW (Oceania Pro Wrestling) Women's Tag Team champions were crowned as the Backslide Girlz (Kingsley & Shay Kassidy) defeated PPK (Frankie B & Nikki Van Blair). Newly inducted WWE Hall of Famer, Bull Nakano, presented the new champions with their titles after the match.
WWE & TNA legend Lisa Marie Varon (Victoria/Tara) was on commentary for the Visit Victoria 6-Pack Challenge to crown the next #1 contender to the OPW Women's Title. Tarlee outlasted Charli Evans, Eleaine Hope, Caity Luxe (& her bedazzled flask), Lena Kross & Aysha in a non-stop thriller from start to finish.
Post match, the incumbent #1 contender, Lizzy Evo ran down the future HOF, earning herself a Widow's Peak to the delight of the fans and commentator SoCal Val!
Lizzy's hubris did her no favors in her OPW Women's Title match against reigning champion, Erika Reid as "The Dreamtime VooDoo Witch" successfully retained in front of her hometown crowd.
Other action, Tenille Dashwood def. Jessica Troy in her first match back in Australia & TNA Women's Tag Team champion Jody Threat def. the #1 contender to the TNA Knockouts World Title, Steph De Lander.
